We understand, of course, that this meme is supposed to be representative of humans, that it's supposed to be relatable. And it is. But it's true about cats themselves as well. We don't what the heck happens to them once the sun goes down, but it's like their energy levels go up from 0 to 100.

Yeah, exactly. You don't often see cats do stuff like this during the day. They're too busy sleeping. But running around at 4 am is a completely normal occurrence. And they always seem so heckin' surprised whenever we catch them doing something stupid like this. It's like they know that they're not supposed to, and that's why they decide to go on their adventures in the middle of the night instead.
